Welcome to Zion Wyandotte Church

A Brief History of Zion Free Will Baptist Church
Zion Free Will Baptist Church has been in the Wyandotte community since 1971. We are a Full Word of God, Bible Believing, Preaching, Teaching, and Disciple Training Church. We believe in a peaceful place of praise and worship in a friendly family atmosphere.

Our Purpose
To Reach the lost. We believe that Jesus gave us a commandment in the last chapter of Matthew to go into all the earth, starting with our worlds and preach the good news.
Disciple the saved. We believe that once a person is saved, there is more to it. Just like a new baby, that person needs to be helped along, taught and loved on so that they can reach the full measure of the maturity of Christ.
Train up new leaders. We also believe that God wants to use this generation to change the world, and it is going to take new leaders. We train the youth up to be Godly men and women and to change their world from the inside out.

What We Believe
We are so pleased to have you worship with us today! We hope and believe that something we say or do will be a blessing to you. The manner and style of worship varies from one denomination to another and is also different from one congregation to another. Listed for you is a brief scriptural reason for some of the patterns of our praise and worship to the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

HOW SHOULD WE WORSHIP GOD? GOD IS A SPIRIT AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. (JOHN 4:24)

WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS? O CLAP YOUR HANDS, ALL YE PEOPLE; SHOUT UNTO GOD WITH THE VOICE OF TRIUMPH, (PSALMS 47:1)

WHY DO WE RAISE OUR HANDS, IN PRAYER AND IN PRAISE? I WILL THEREFORE THAT MEN PRAY EVERY WHERE, LIFTING UP HOLY HANDS…. (1st TIMOTHY 2:8), LET US LIFT UP OUR HEART WITH OUR HANDS UNTO GOD IN THE HEAVENS…. (LAMENTATION 3:41)

WHY DO WE PRAISE AND GIVE THANKS TO GOD ALOUD? I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES; HIS PRAISE SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MY MOUTH.(PSALMS 34:1).SAYING I WILL DECLARE THY NAME UNTO MY BRETHEREN, IN THE MIST OF THE CHURCH WILL I SING PRAISE UNTO THEE. (HEBREWS 2:12). BY HIM THEREFORE LET US OFFER THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE TO GOD CONTINUALLY, THAT IS, THE FRUIT OF OUR LIPS GIVING THANKS TO HIS NAME. (HEBREWS 13:15)

WHY DO WE PRAY AT ONE TIME? AND WHEN I HEARD THAT, THEY LIFTED UP THEIR VOICE WITH ONE ACCORD AND SAID LORD THOU ART GOD, WHICH HAST MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH….. (ACTS 4:24)
WHY DO WE PRAY FOR THE SICK? …… PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER, THAT YE MAY BE HELD. (JAMES 5:15)

WHY DO WE ANOINT WITH OIL? IS ANY SICK AMOUNG YOU? LET HIM CALL FOR THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH; AND LET THEM PRAY OVER HIM, ANOINTING HIM WITH OIL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD. (JAMES 5:14)

WHY DO WE SING PSALMS, HYMNS, AND SPIRITUAL SONGS, AND MELODIES IN OUR HEART? SPEAKING TO YOURSELVES IN PSALMS, HYMNS, AND SPIRITUAL SONGS, SINGING AND MAKING MELODY IN YOUR HEART TO THE LORD; (EPHESIANS 5:19) & (COLOSSIANS 3:16… SINGING WITH GRACE IN YOUR HEARTS TO THE LORD.

WHY DO WE PLAY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS? SING UNTO HIM A NEW SONG; PLAY SKILFULLY WITH A LOUD NOISE. (PSALMS 33: 1-3). (PSALMS 92: 1-3), AND ALSO (PSALMS 150)

As you can quickly realize, it is difficult in so short a space to give all scriptures and to explain all things. Our services offer a freedom of worship and praise where everyone can express his love for God in their own way following the word of God.
"Let all things be done decently and in order. "(1st Corinthians 14:40)

We support Blessings in a Backpack.
